Working draft. We modeled this policy on the practices of established websites, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be treated as final legal advice.

This Privacy Policy explains how Inspiring Media, LLC ("Inspiring Media," "WickedSmart," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit wickedsmart.app, use our brain games and trivia features, or subscribe to WickedSmart Daily (together, the "Site").

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly: your name and email address when you subscribe to WickedSmart Daily or use our Contact form, and whatever you write in a message to us.

Information collected automatically: when you visit the Site, we (and our service providers) automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the dates and times of your visits.

We do not knowingly collect health information, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information about you, and the Site is not directed to children (see Children's Privacy below).

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies for a few different purposes:

Necessary cookies — required for the Site to function (like remembering your cookie preferences).
Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
Advertising cookies — WickedSmart is supported by advertising, including through Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites ("interest-based advertising").

You can manage or opt out of interest-based advertising through Google's Ad Settings, the Network Advertising Initiative, or the Digital Advertising Alliance. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in your settings, though the Site may not work as well without them. We currently do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but see Your Privacy Rights below for how we handle Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to: operate, maintain, and improve the Site; respond to your messages and requests; send WickedSmart Daily to subscribers and manage that subscription; understand how the Site is used and measure traffic; serve and measure the performance of advertising; detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues; and comply with our legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We share information with: service providers who help us run the Site, send email, and analyze traffic (bound to use your information only to provide these services to us); advertising partners like Google AdSense, who receive certain usage data to serve and measure ads; parties involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (your information may be transferred as part of that transaction); and others when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Inspiring Media, our users, or the public.

We do not sell personal information for money. Under some state privacy laws, sharing information with advertising partners for interest-based ads can count as a "sale" or "share" even without money changing hands — see Your Privacy Rights below for how to opt out of that.

Your Privacy Rights

If you live in California or another state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or similar), you generally have the right to:

Know / Access — request what personal information we've collected about you and why.
Delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Opt out of sale or sharing — direct us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Do Not Sell below).
Non-discrimination — we won't deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service for exercising these rights.
Portability — request a copy of your personal information in a portable format, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our Contact page or email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity (typically by confirming the email address associated with your request) before acting on it. We aim to respond within 45 days, as CCPA-type laws generally require, and will let you know if we need a one-time 45-day extension. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of the sharing described above, use our Contact page or email [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," and we will process your request directly. Where technically feasible, we also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request. We're evaluating whether a dedicated privacy-request tool makes sense as WickedSmart grows — this page will be updated if that changes.

Children's Privacy

WickedSmart is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy — for example, for as long as you're subscribed to WickedSmart Daily, or as needed to respond to your message — unless a longer period is required by law.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Links

The Site may link to other websites we don't control, including advertiser sites. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties — check their policies before providing any information.

International Users

WickedSmart is operated from and intended for users in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as WickedSmart grows. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do, and we'll post a prominent notice on the Site for material changes.
